Techniques of calculations used in Montessori school

First introduced by Dr. Maria Montessori, Montessori system of education is a child centred system of education which enables them of initiating learning through a friendly, thoughtful and supportive learning environment. https://www.kidadvance.com/ helps children to learn things while having fun. There are several techniques which are used in Montessori schools to make learning fun for the children. Some of them are described below:

In Montessori, Addition Working Charts are used to help children to learn the process of addition. Folded slips and addition charts are used to teach children the ways of addition. This simplifies the process for them.

Special exercises are designed such as Montessori Addition Tables which are helpful to the child performing basic operations thus preparing mental maths. These are very helpful in making static and dynamic shifts which will ultimately be helpful in boosting up their confidence and perform activities of their own. Examples include Positive Snake Game, etc.

Montessori Addition Strip Board is another fun loving game for learning of addition in which children are asked to place blue and red strips with numbers written on it and arrange accordingly to form the required number.

Similarly, MontessoriSubtraction Strip Board is used to help the children to learn subtraction by placing the blue and the red strips in an orderly fashion in order to get the required number. These fun loving activities relieves the children from the pressure of learning.

Other activities include Montessori Divisions and Dividend Box and Montessori Division Working Charts which simplifies them with the mathematical calculation and procedures without pressurising the children.
